Toyota Vietnam Motor Company announced its sales figures for October, revealing impressive growth. Vietnamese consumers purchased a total of 8,736 Toyota vehicles, an increase of 25% compared to the previous month. This includes 3,469 domestically assembled cars and 5,267 completely built-up imported cars.

Meanwhile, the luxury brand Lexus achieved a slight increase of 3.1% with 162 vehicles sold. Since its introduction in Vietnam, the brand has accumulated a total of 13,409 sales.

Combining the sales of Lexus and Toyota, the company reached a total of 8,898 vehicles sold in October, a 25% increase compared to the previous month. This marks the highest sales figure for Toyota Vietnam so far this year.

Additionally, Toyota Vietnam sold 883 hybrid vehicles in the domestic market, a significant 57% increase from the previous month. This brings the total sales of hybrid vehicles for the first ten months of 2024 to 3,881.

In October, most Toyota models witnessed sales growth, partly due to the government’s support policy for registration fees for domestically produced and assembled cars. In the top four best-selling Toyota models, the Vios maintained its leading position with 1,757 units sold, despite a 4.6% decrease. Similarly, the Toyota Veloz Cross experienced a 7.4% decline in sales, reaching 1,061 units.

In contrast to the above domestically assembled duo, the two imported compact SUV models, the Toyota Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross, showed positive growth. The Toyota Yaris Cross achieved impressive sales of 1,510 vehicles, an increase of 54.2%. The Toyota Corolla Cross followed closely with 1,402 units, a remarkable 75% increase.

With these results, four Toyota Vietnam models are likely to make it into the top 10 best-selling cars in the market for October. The remaining Toyota models collectively achieved sales of 3,006 units, an increase of 35.5%.
