## Police detain nine youths in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident in Hanoi, with two suspects directly involved in the collision.

Authorities have temporarily detained nine teenage individuals, including two direct suspects in a traffic accident that caused the death of a 27-year-old woman at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao and Ba Trieu streets in Hanoi.

On the evening of November 3rd, representatives from the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) announced that the Criminal Police Department (Hanoi Police) coordinated with Hoan Kiem District Police to arrest nine individuals related to a severe traffic accident that claimed the life of a woman at the Tran Hung Dao – Ba Trieu intersection. Most of these individuals are very young, aged 16-17, and students at local schools.

According to security camera footage, a group of people rode motorcycles at high speed, honking noisily. When they reached the Tran Hung Dao – Ba Trieu intersection, one of the bikes in the group collided with a woman waiting at a red light. As a result, the woman fell onto the road and died on the spot. After the accident, the “street racers” did not stop to provide first aid to the victim but instead sped away.

Through investigation, the police identified the victim as Ms. N.H.Q., born in 1997, residing in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi. Initially, the authorities determined that N.T.M.K. (16 years old) and N.H.N. (19 years old) were the two direct suspects who admitted to hitting Ms. Q. N.H.N. also sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

The case is currently under further investigation, with efforts to apprehend other related individuals, verify their violations, and apply strict handling in accordance with the law.
