In September, the Geely Icon witnessed a sales decline of 72.6% year-over-year and a 41.1% drop compared to the previous month, with only 465 units sold. This accounted for 0.54% of Geely’s monthly sales, ranking it 210th in SUV sales across China. From January to September 2024, the cumulative sales of the Geely Icon reached 6,888 units.
In terms of exterior design, the Geely Cowboy showcases the traits of a robust SUV. Its front end exudes confidence with a multi-layered look. The rear end features an additional external polygonal box, and the roof is equipped with oversized cargo racks, spotlights, and off-road lights, further emphasizing its rugged style.
The roof rack offers a cargo area of 1.3 square meters and can handle a maximum load of 50 kilograms. Consumers can choose from four exterior colors: white, green, gray, and brown.
The Geely Cowboy boasts dimensions of 4,369 (4,442) / 1,860 / 1,770 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, which are larger than the Geely Icon’s dimensions of 4,350 / 1,815 / 1,620 mm. However, the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,640 mm.
The sides of the vehicle feature wide wheel arches, robust side skirts, conventional door handles, red brake calipers, and a floating roof effect. Additionally, AT off-road tires are available as an option.
Stepping inside the cabin, the Geely Cowboy SUV showcases a grab handle in front of the passenger seat, infinity-shaped air vents, an integrated 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch central control screen (with a resolution of 1920×1080). The infotainment system is powered by the Ecarx E02 cockpit chip.
The seats are upholstered in a combination of leather, denim fabric, and suede. Both the driver and passenger seats feature an embossed “Born Free” logo. Other configurations include ambient lighting, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, and an impressive 42 storage spaces throughout the interior.
Under the hood, the Geely Cowboy SUV is powered by a 1.5TD engine that delivers a maximum output of 133 kW (178 hp) and a peak torque of 290 Nm. This engine is paired with a 7DCT transmission.
