Toyota has just officially launched the upgraded Corolla Altis in Thailand. The car is offered in four different versions, including 1.6L and 1.8L gasoline engine options, as well as two hybrid variants.
The upgrades for the 2025 Corolla Altis mainly focus on the two hybrid versions. Notably, the new lithium-ion 4 Ah battery pack replaces the nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) 3.6 Ah type. With this new system, fuel consumption for this sedan decreases from 4.29 liters/100 km to 4.2 liters/100 km.
This hybrid version continues to utilize the 2ZR-FXE 4-cylinder, Dual VVT-i, 1.8L engine, which produces a maximum output of 98 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, coupled with a 72 horsepower and 163 Nm electric motor. The total system output reaches 122 horsepower. The car is equipped with an E-CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The Corolla Altis GR Sport variant boasts a redesigned front end with a wider grille and square-shaped mesh, inspired by the new GR Yaris. Additionally, it features a host of black-painted details, including the roof, rear spoiler, and 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, enhancing its sporty and dynamic character.
The other versions retain the previous design but now offer a new Cement Grey paint option. The hybrid versions also feature an HEV logo, replacing the ‘Hybrid’ badge.
Inside, the Corolla Altis GR Sport showcases a black faux leather and suede interior with red accents on the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, gear shift lever, seats, seat belts, and center armrest, creating a sporty and bold ambiance.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2025 Toyota Corolla Altis is slightly more expensive in Thailand, with prices ranging from 1,009 to 1,129 million Baht (approximately 750 to 840 million VND).
