On November 6, Honda Vietnam announced a recall campaign for 11,005 CR-V, Civic, and Civic Type-R vehicles.

The recall campaign aims to address an issue causing abnormal noise or vibration when steering.

Information on the vehicles included in this recall is as follows:

All owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by Honda auto distributors through letters, emails, and/or direct phone calls based on the registered vehicle owner information in HVN’s customer management system. Customers who receive the notification should bring their vehicles to authorized Honda auto distributors for inspection and replacement of steering rack parts:

  • Recall locations: All authorized Honda auto distributors nationwide.
  • Recall method: Repair of steering rack parts.
  • Start date: December 2024
  • Estimated repair time: 0.5 – 4 hours per vehicle.

Although no safety incidents related to this issue have been reported in the Vietnamese market, we recommend that customers take their vehicles to authorized Honda auto distributors as soon as possible for inspection and replacement of affected parts. Honda Vietnam will bear the cost of inspecting and replacing the affected parts.
