Rosenbauer, the third-largest fire truck manufacturer in the world, has recently unveiled its new electric vehicle, the Panther 6×6 Electric. This electric vehicle line has been developed for airport and firefighting operations.

Specifically, the Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 Electric is based on the gasoline-powered Panther 6×6 version but sports a modern look with many details upgraded to suit electronic firefighting operations.

The vehicle features a large LED light setup to aid in rescue or firefighting operations in low-light conditions.

Additionally, it is equipped with modern firefighting tools, including a high-capacity pumping system, a foam system, and a monitor with tanks capable of holding up to 12,000 liters of water, 1,450 liters of foam, and 250 kg of powder. This ensures that the needs of extinguishing large fires in emergency environments, such as airport runways, are met.

The Panther 6×6 Electric is powered by four electric motors, generating a combined output of 980 horsepower, which can be boosted to 1,200 horsepower when the acceleration mode is activated. This enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-80 km/h in 19.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 km/h.

The vehicle is fitted with a 256 kWh battery pack, sufficient for continuous emergency operations from arrival to completion and return. Furthermore, this fire truck supports fast charging at 300 kW, allowing for a full charge from 0 to 100% in just 45 minutes.

According to Rosenbauer, the electric fire truck can accomplish most tasks using electric power, while a diesel generator serves as a backup if extended operation or high, continuous firefighting power is required.

The Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 Electric is expected to be widely available for purchase by the end of 2025, with the price not disclosed.
