Chinese automaker GAC has unveiled a super-fast charging version of its MPV, the Trumpchi E9.
The GAC Trumpchi E9 is powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor at the front, delivering a combined output of 367 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque.
It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and has a pure electric range of up to 136 km under the CLTC standard.
The vehicle is equipped with a new 25.5 kWh lithium ternary battery pack, reducing charging time from 30% to 80% in just 8 minutes.
In terms of exterior design, the new Trumpchi E9 remains largely unchanged from the current version. It retains its dimensions of 5,212 x 1,893 x 1,823 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,070 mm.
The front features an impressive large Sky Shock Wing grille, complemented by distinctive 7-shaped headlights. Bold character lines along the sides give the Trumpchi E9 a sleek and bold appearance.
The interior of the E9 has been significantly upgraded with amenities such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen.
In the high-end version, there’s also a 12.3-inch entertainment screen for front passengers. The rear seats feature two captain’s chairs with leg rests and 16-point massage functionality.
The GAC Trumpchi E9 2024 will be offered in three variants, with prices ranging from $44,650 to $54,300 (approximately VNĐ 1.13 billion to VNĐ 1.37 billion).
