The Tesla Cybertruck 2024, a sleek and powerful all-electric pickup truck, has certainly grabbed the attention of automotive enthusiasts in Vietnam. Spotted on Vietnamese roads in mid-October, the vehicle bore Laotian license plates and was identified as the top-of-the-line Cyberbeast trim.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the same Tesla Cybertruck 2024 was recently spotted on a tow truck, covered in a tarp, as it passed through the province of Quang Binh. According to sources, the vehicle is likely en route back to Laos via the Cau Treo border gate in Ha Tinh province.
With the tarp covering, the Tesla Cybertruck takes on the appearance of a sleek aluminum cabinet. Its design is characterized by sharp lines and unique styling.
The standout feature of this all-electric pickup is its exterior body, crafted from stainless steel with a paint-free finish. Elon Musk, the visionary behind Tesla, describes this exterior as an “exoskeleton” that provides superior torsional rigidity and even offers protection against bullets.
In the US market, the Tesla Cybertruck 2024 is priced between $60,990 and $99,990, depending on the trim level. The AWD and Cyberbeast variants are slated for release first, with the RWD model scheduled for launch in 2025.
The Tesla Cybertruck boasts reinforced glass that offers enhanced impact resistance. Tesla claims that this glass can withstand the impact of a baseball traveling at 90 mph without shattering. Beyond its futuristic, angular design, the Cybertruck also features a spacious 72-inch-long and 48-inch-wide truck bed.
According to Musk, the truck bed does not require a liner, as is typically seen in conventional pickups. Additionally, it incorporates a lockable storage space with a capacity of 67 cubic feet. The Tesla Cybertruck rides on rugged 35-inch all-terrain tires and features an adaptive air suspension system, providing a maximum ground clearance of 17.4 inches.
The interior of the all-electric pickup showcases a minimalist design aesthetic. It features a central 18.5-inch touchscreen, a 9.4-inch rear-seat entertainment screen, and a panoramic glass roof.
The top-tier Cyberbeast trim delivers an impressive 845 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. It boasts a top speed of 130 mph and offers a range of 320 miles. With the addition of an extra battery, similar to the AWD version, the Cyberbeast can achieve a remarkable range of 440 miles.
