The Vietnamese automotive market is entering its busiest period of the year, and as expected, many car manufacturers have chosen November to introduce new models to domestic consumers. Here is a list of new cars launched in the Vietnamese market in November 2024.
Volvo EC40
On November 15, 2024, the all-electric Volvo EC40 was officially unveiled in Vietnam. This is the first pure electric Volvo model to be sold in the country.
Volvo EC40
In Vietnam, the Volvo EC40 is offered in a single trim with a starting price of 1.739 billion VND, making it more affordable than the XC40. The competitive pricing is partly due to the vehicle being imported from Malaysia.
The Volvo EC40 is equipped with two electric motors, producing a combined output of 408 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque. It features an automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
The motors are paired with an 82 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 510 kilometers on a single charge. Charging the battery with a slow AC charger takes eight hours, while a fast DC charger can reduce this time to just 28 minutes.
Other notable features include LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch central touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control with PM2.5 air filtration, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient interior lighting.

The second is the P340 Ingenium gasoline engine with six cylinders in a straight configuration, producing 340 horsepower.
Lastly, there’s the P400e plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-liter Ingenium gasoline engine with a 105 kW electric motor. This setup generates a total output of 404 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque.
The pricing for the 2025 Range Rover Velar in Vietnam has not yet been disclosed.
