The official Mitsubishi Philippines website has just released two images of its upcoming SUV, slated for launch later this year. For now, the automaker has only teased a small portion of the front-end design and the area near the C-pillar.

The front grille features an intricate honeycomb pattern with intersecting lines forming an ‘X’. The T-shaped headlights extend horizontally to the sides, reminiscent of the XForce model.

On the flanks, the new SUV sports a unique layered cladding near the C-pillar, complemented by prominent character lines, indicating a bold and rugged design language, similar to its siblings, the new Xpander, or the XForce.

According to Mitsubishi Philippines, the new SUV will be a seven-seater, ideal for families and long-distance travels. This suggests that it could be a seven-seat version of the B-segment XForce SUV.

In the comments section, many speculated that it could be the next-generation Pajero Sport, known as the Montero Sport in this market. However, the current Pajero Sport in the Philippines has already received two facelifts, in 2019 and 2024, making a new model introduction unlikely.

Mitsubishi will unveil the name and full design of the production model at the 2024 Philippines International Motor Show (PIMS) in late October. It remains to be seen whether this model will be offered in other Southeast Asian markets.
