Hongqi Unveils Pricing for its Luxurious Guoya Sedan: A Blend of Classic and Modern Design
Hongqi, a renowned Chinese automotive brand, has recently announced the pricing for its highly anticipated Guoya sedan. The car made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024 and has now been officially launched with a price range of 1.4 to 1.86 million Chinese yuan.
The Hongqi Guoya 2024 boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 5,353 mm, a width of 1,998 mm, a height of 1,511 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,260 mm. These specifications rival those of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Long Wheelbase model, positioning the Guoya as a spacious and comfortable luxury sedan.
The exterior design of the Guoya is a stunning blend of classic and modern elements. The front grille features a bold, chrome-accented design, while the round headlights add a touch of retro styling. Additionally, the headlights incorporate DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology, ensuring optimal illumination on the road.
The side profile of the Guoya is elegant, with a low-slung stance and a two-tone white-and-red color scheme. The car sits on striking 19-inch or 20-inch chrome-plated multi-spoke alloy wheels, adding to its overall visual appeal.
At the rear, the Guoya features unique taillights inspired by traditional Chinese lanterns, along with decorative elements reminiscent of palace downspouts, creating a truly distinctive look.
Step inside the Guoya, and you’ll find a choice of either a four- or five-seat configuration. The interior is a masterpiece of symmetry, with luxurious materials such as wood trim, soft leather upholstery, and chrome accents throughout.
The Guoya is packed with modern conveniences, including a full LCD instrument cluster and a large central control screen. The steering wheel proudly displays the Hongqi logo, the Golden Sunflower, adding a touch of brand heritage to the cabin.
In the four-seat configuration, the rear seats offer a first-class experience with armrests and cup holders. Additionally, a central touchscreen allows rear passengers to control various functions, such as seat heating, massage, and climate control. Other advanced features include an AR-HUD, multi-mode interaction via facial recognition, voice, and gestures, and intelligent ambient lighting control.
Regardless of the configuration, the rear seats are electrically adjustable and come with heating, cooling, memory, and massage functions, ensuring the utmost comfort for passengers.
Under the hood, the Hongqi Guoya 2024 offers two powerful hybrid powertrain options. The first is a combination of a turbocharged 3.0L inline-six engine and an electric motor, delivering a maximum output of 381 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque.
The second powertrain option is a hybrid system that pairs a turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine with an electric motor, resulting in an impressive 476 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque.
Both powertrains are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The V6-powered Guoya can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, while the V8 version completes the same sprint in just 4.3 seconds.
