The GAC M6 Pro is a new mid-sized MPV that was recently launched in the Vietnamese market at the VMS 2024 exhibition held in late October. Currently, the vehicle is offered at promotional prices of VND 699 million for the 1.5T GS variant and VND 799 million for the 1.5T GL variant, making it a competitive option in the mid-sized MPV segment.
However, GAC has announced plans to increase the listed price of the M6 Pro in 2025. The new prices for the 1.5T GS and 1.5T GL variants will be VND 750 million and VND 850 million, respectively. Even with this price increase, the GAC M6 Pro will still be more affordable than its competitors in the same segment, such as the Toyota Innova Cross (VND 810 – 999 million) and the Haima 7X (VND 865 million).
The mid-sized MPV GAC M6 Pro is set to increase its price in Vietnam, starting from VND 750 million.
In addition to the price increase announcement, GAC has also introduced promotional programs for three of its models in November 2024. Customers purchasing the GAC M6 Pro will receive a complimentary GAC Smart Watch. This promotional offer is valid from November 8 to November 30, 2024. Additionally, all three GAC models come with a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), free 24/7 rescue services for 7 years, and free labor for maintenance within 7 years (for periodic maintenance only). GAC is a Chinese automotive group that recently entered the Vietnamese market in August 2024. Currently, they offer three models in Vietnam: the M6 Pro, M8, and GS8. While the GAC M6 Pro is a mid-sized MPV, the M8 is a large MPV, and the GS8 is a large SUV.
Compared to the M6 Pro, the GAC M8 and GS8 are significantly more expensive. The GAC M8 is priced between VND 1.699 billion and VND 2.199 billion, while the GS8 ranges from VND 1.269 billion to VND 1.369 billion.
The GAC M6 Pro in Vietnam boasts notable features such as LED lighting, 18-inch wheels, leather seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, 7 charging ports, over 20 storage compartments across three rows of seats, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a panoramic sunroof with a one-touch open/close function and anti-pinch feature, smart key entry, and remote engine start.
Powering the MPV is a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 174 hp and 270 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. According to GAC, the engine has a fuel consumption of 7.22 liters per 100 km. The vehicle offers three driving modes: Eco, Comfort, and Sport.
On the other hand, the GAC M8 stands out with its impressive “airplane-like” design, reminiscent of the Toyota Alphard. It features 18-inch alloy wheels, electric sliding doors, 12-way power-adjustable leather seats, two business-class seats in the middle row with cooling, heating, and massage functions, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an 8-speaker audio system, multi-color interior ambient lighting, tri-zone automatic climate control with a fragrance diffusion system, and a dual-pane sunroof.
The GAC M8 is a large MPV that competes with the Kia Carnival and Volkswagen Viloran.
Lastly, the GAC GS8 showcases a robust exterior, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 7-seat interior, leather seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an 8-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, multi-color interior ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
The GAC GS8 is in the same league as the Hyundai Palisade.
Both the GAC M8 and GS8 are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 248 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission from Aisin and delivers power to the front wheels.
