The Only E-Hailing Platform Honored for Outstanding ESG at ASOCIO 2024

The ASOCIO DX Award 2024 was presented across ten categories, recognizing outstanding achievements in the fields of technology, smart cities, digital governance, digital education, digital healthcare, cybersecurity, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance). The award celebrates contributions to society and the promotion of green transportation initiatives.

Xanh SM stood out in the ESG category, acknowledged for its positive social impact and commitment to driving green transformation in the transportation industry. The award criteria were based on international standards, evaluating companies’ contributions to global sustainability, with a focus on reducing CO₂ emissions, fostering a safe and equitable work environment, and effective corporate governance.

Xanh SM met and exceeded these standards with its fleet of VinFast electric vehicles. With over 80,000 electric vehicles in operation, Xanh SM has made a significant impact by reducing 100,000 tons of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 4.7 million trees.

In addition to its environmental contributions, Xanh SM has created over 80,000 stable job opportunities for taxi and electric motorbike drivers, boosting local employment. The company offers a friendly work environment and invests in professional development programs and sustainable career growth policies, especially for female drivers.

The training curriculum not only enhances safe driving skills but also equips drivers with communication and customer care techniques, fostering a dedicated and trusted service culture. Xanh SM implements specialized training, advancement opportunities, and health welfare policies for female drivers, empowering them to thrive and succeed in the green transportation industry.

The ASOCIO DX Award is a prestigious annual award in the field of information technology in the Asia-Pacific region, organized by the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization. It recognizes individuals, organizations, and enterprises from 24 member economies, celebrating their exceptional contributions to the industry.

This year, Xanh SM was the sole representative from the transportation sector to receive this honor. The award ceremony was held during the ASOCIO Digital Summit in Tokyo, Japan, attended by over 600 delegates and leaders from global governments and businesses.

Alongside Xanh SM, the ASOCIO Award also recognized nine other outstanding organizations, including the People’s Committees of Thua Thien Hue and Binh Phuoc provinces, the Postal Academy, and VinBrain, for their contributions to digital transformation and technology application.

The ESG award from ASOCIO DX Award 2024 adds to Xanh SM’s impressive list of achievements in 2024. Earlier, Xanh SM garnered accolades such as the “Fastest Growing Enterprise” and “Inspirational Brand” at the APEA (Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards) and “Typical Brand in the Transport Service Field” at the Better Choice Awards (BCA) 2024.
