Last October, Ferrari unveiled its latest supercar, the F80, joining the ranks of the legendary 280 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. With only 799 units produced, the F80 is priced at $3.9 million, making it one of the most powerful and exclusive Ferraris ever created.

A month later, the Ferrari F80 made its highly anticipated debut in Asia, and surprisingly, the chosen country was not China, Japan, or South Korea, but Thailand. This marked a significant moment for the automotive industry in the region.

Thailand became the first Asian country to witness the unveiling of the $3.9 million Ferrari F80. With only 799 units produced globally, there is a high possibility that Thailand will secure one of these exclusive supercars.

The Ferrari F80 is powered by the F163CF engine, which utilizes a V6 120-degree motor related to the engine in both the 296 GTB and the 499P Le Mans winner. While the 296’s internal combustion engine produces 654 horsepower, the F80’s lighter ICE generates an impressive 888 horsepower and increases torque from 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) to 850 Nm.

Additionally, the F80 employs a similar three-electric-motor setup as the SF90. Two motors at the front provide 282 horsepower and enable torque vectoring, while Ferrari claims the system weighs 61.5 kg, a reduction of 14 kg compared to the SF 90. The third motor sends 80 horsepower to the rear wheels but can generate 94 horsepower by harvesting braking energy.

With the addition of hybrid power, the F80 boasts a combined output of 1,184 horsepower, a significant upgrade from the 819 horsepower of the 296. This makes the F80 Ferrari’s first four-wheel-drive supercar. However, despite the abundance of electric power, the F80 does not offer an electric-only driving mode.
