Genesis GV70 2025: Unveiling an Enhanced Powerhouse to Rival the Mercedes-Benz GLC

Just ahead of the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, Genesis – the luxury automotive brand under the Hyundai Group, officially introduced the facelifted versions of its GV70 gasoline-powered SUV and the Electrified GV70 electric variant. Both models received notable improvements inside and out.

For the new GV70 and Electrified GV70, Genesis focused on enhancing the interior and improving the vehicles’ performance. Notably, the battery capacity of the electric version has been increased from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh. Although Genesis did not disclose the exact range, they stated that the new model can travel over 380 km, an improvement over its predecessor.

Additionally, the Electrified GV70 now comes standard with the NACS charging port, allowing it to utilize all charging stations within the Tesla Supercharger network.

The 2025 Genesis GV70 receives subtle exterior refinements, featuring a dual-mesh grille at the front and upgraded MLA technology for its dual-beam headlights. At the rear, the turn signals are now integrated into the taillights, and the design of the spoiler and exhaust pipes has been slightly modified.

More significant changes are evident in the interior. Similar to the GV80 unveiled earlier this year, the new GV70 boasts a dual-screen setup measuring up to 27 inches. Furthermore, a unique feature lies within the door trim, where an LED system is embedded within an oval-shaped panel, creating a galaxy-like lighting effect.

In terms of powertrain, the GV70 continues to offer two engine options: a 2.0L 4-cylinder producing 300 horsepower and a 3.5L V6 generating 375 horsepower. Genesis has not yet released the technical specifications for the Electrified GV70 pure electric version.

Pricing for both the GV70 and GV70 Electrified has not been announced by Genesis, but it is expected to see a slight increase compared to the current models.
