Vingroup Group and Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) Sign a Collaboration Agreement to Develop a Nationwide Electric Vehicle Charging Network and Promote the Use of Renewable Energy Through Rooftop Solar Power Systems

Sharing a common vision for sustainable development and a spirit of companionship, support, and synergy between Vietnamese brands, Vingroup and PV Power will prioritize the use of each other’s products and services to maximize potential, enhance business efficiency, and improve each other’s competitiveness.

With its strength in the energy business, PV Power will research and provide green energy solutions and energy-saving strategies for Vingroup, offering competitive electricity prices.

On the other hand, Vingroup will facilitate PV Power in installing rooftop solar power systems at factories, offices, and infrastructure managed by Vingroup and its member companies, as well as in residential areas nationwide.

In the field of electric vehicle charging, with the establishment of V-GREEN, a company specializing in developing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and breakthrough business strategies such as the franchised charging station model, the network of charging stations for VinFast electric cars has been continuously expanding. Through the newly signed agreement, PV Power and its partners will produce and supply high-quality, competitively priced equipment to V-GREEN, while the network of 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations planned by PV Power for the 2025-2030 period will be transferred to V-GREEN for further research and development to serve customers.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup, shared, “Vingroup and PV Power not only share sustainable business development goals but also have a common vision for a green transition and a desire to contribute to the country’s overall development. With PV Power’s strength in energy and Vingroup’s technology and electric vehicle ecosystem, we believe that this collaboration will help build a modern green energy infrastructure that meets the needs of users now and in the future.”

Mr. Le Nhu Linh, CEO of PV Power, stated, “The comprehensive cooperation agreement between Vingroup and PV Power promises to create a new breakthrough in developing green transportation infrastructure and promoting the use of renewable energy, actively contributing to the government’s net-zero emission reduction target. PV Power hopes that immediately after this signing ceremony, the two sides and PV Power’s partners will start concretizing and agreeing on specific contents to turn this shared expectation into reality soon.”

Currently, V-GREEN has planned a network of 150,000 charging ports for electric cars and motorcycles nationwide. With PV Power’s support, the expansion of the network and the transition to green energy are expected to be strongly promoted in the coming time.
