It’s been a while since Ho Chi Minh City’s streets witnessed the gathering of such an impressive fleet of supercars. So, when a large convoy of luxury vehicles cruised through District 1 on the afternoon of November 21, 2024, it quickly caught the attention of car enthusiasts.

Among the nearly ten cars in the group, the star of the show was undoubtedly the limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, sporting a unique Verde Ermes green paint job. However, over the past few years, the owner has wrapped the car in a matte green livery.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces a staggering 770 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. This powerhouse can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 350 km/h.

Aside from the eye-catching Lamborghini, the fleet also included other notable supercars such as the McLaren GT, McLaren 720S Spider, and the Novitec-tuned McLaren 720S N-Largo, as well as the McLaren 650S Spider with an extreme Liberty Walk body kit.

One of the most noticeable differences between the McLaren 720S Spider and its Coupe counterpart is the retractable hardtop. Made of carbon fiber, the roof takes just 11 seconds to raise or lower, and it can be operated while the car is in motion, as long as the speed remains below 50 km/h, as recommended by McLaren.

Under the hood, the McLaren 720S Spider boasts a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 710 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 770 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

Power is sent to the wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission, enabling the supercar to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach 200 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The McLaren 720S Spider has a top speed of 341 km/h with the roof up, but this drops to 325 km/h when the roof is down. Upon its release, the 720S Spider was recognized as the world’s fastest V8-powered convertible supercar.
