Mr. Hoang Anh – Owner of the First Porsche 911 Dakar in Vietnam, Completes an Adventurous Journey Across Three Countries in His Special Edition Defender

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, the proud owner of the first Porsche 911 Dakar in Vietnam, has embarked on not one but two extraordinary cross-country adventures in his special sports car. He has driven through breathtaking landscapes, including Mount Kailash in the Tibetan Plateau and the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. Recently, he added another thrilling journey to his list, this time behind the wheel of a special edition Defender.

As shared by Mr. Hoang Anh, this latest expedition spanned nearly two weeks, covering approximately 7,000 kilometers. The journey began in Ho Chi Minh City, ventured up to Quang Tri, crossed into Laos, and then continued on to Thailand before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Accompanying him on this trip was his Defender 75th Limited Edition SUV, a recent addition to his garage, personalized with custom decals. Throughout the journey, the Defender navigated various terrains, including national highways, winding mountain roads, and challenging off-road tracks.

Mr. Hoang Anh praised the Defender’s engine performance across the diverse landscapes. However, he noted that the process of switching driving modes was a bit intricate, and the absence of paddle shifters behind the steering wheel was a minor disappointment. Nonetheless, for an off-road specialist like the Defender, these challenges were mere bumps in the road.

The Defender 75th Limited Edition commemorates the 75th anniversary of the iconic Defender lineage. In Vietnam, this SUV is officially distributed with a starting price of 7.359 billion VND, excluding options. It boasts a P400 3.0-liter 6-cylinder MHEV engine that delivers 400 PS of power and 550 Nm of torque.
