Recently, Hoang Kim Khanh, renowned for his extensive collection of supercars in Vietnam, which includes such expensive models as the Koenigsegg Regera, McLaren Senna, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and Porsche 911 Turbo S 992, shared moments from his attendance at a special Ferrari event held in Thailand.

And as everyone knows, the highlight of this event was the unveiling of the Ferrari F80, a special model following the success of the “big five”: 280 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari.

Being the owner of an already impressive collection of supercars, it was notable that Hoang Kim Khanh attended this unique Ferrari event in Thailand to admire a range of rare models, including the F80. This event attracted a lot of attention.

However, even if one has the means and willingness to spend a fortune on the Ferrari F80, acquiring this model is almost impossible, as Ferrari has declared that all units were sold out even before the official launch, despite a production run of 799 cars.

The Ferrari F80 is powered by a 120-degree V6 engine, similar to the one found in both the 296 GTB and the 499P that won at Le Mans. However, while the 296’s internal combustion engine produces 654 horsepower, the F80’s engine generates a staggering 888 horsepower and a torque of 850 Nm, up from 740 Nm.

Moreover, the F80 also incorporates a three-electric-motor setup like the SF90. Two motors at the front provide 282 horsepower to the front wheels and enable torque vectoring, and Ferrari claims this setup weighs 61.5 kg, making it 14 kg lighter than the SF 90. A third motor delivers 80 horsepower to the rear wheels and can generate 94 horsepower by harvesting braking energy.

The addition of hybrid power boosts the F80’s total output to 1,184 horsepower, compared to 819 horsepower in the 296. This transformation makes the F80 Ferrari’s first four-wheel-drive supercar. However, despite the significant electric power contribution, the F80 does not offer an electric-only driving mode.
