Mitsuoka has unveiled the production version of the M55, limited to just 100 units.

Mitsuoka is a Japan-based company that specializes in crafting special edition cars. Last year, they made headlines with the introduction of the M55 concept, based on the Honda Civic but with a design inspired by the Dodge Challenger. Now, Mitsuoka has decided to launch a commercial version of this car due to high customer demand.

Mitsuoka has announced that only 100 units of the M55 will be produced, with a price tag of approximately 52,200 USD. The first completed cars will be delivered to customers next year.

The M55 is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. This powertrain generates 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. Additionally, Mitsuoka has stated that they plan to offer versions with a CVT transmission and even a hybrid powertrain in the future.

As of now, Mitsuoka has received 350 orders, and this number is expected to grow as the order book remains open until January 19, 2025. Due to high demand, customers will have to enter a lottery to secure a booking, with an application fee of 550,000 yen (3,500 dollars). This fee will be refunded if the customer is not selected in the lottery.
