The automotive enthusiast community in Vietnam was abuzz once again on the afternoon of November 25, 2024, as mysterious images of the country’s most elusive car, the Koenigsegg CCX, surfaced on social media. The photos showed the car being transported to a specialized supercar garage in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to sources, this hypercar has been in Ho Chi Minh City for over two years and is usually spotted at either the owner’s residence or this particular garage.

With only 30 CCX models ever produced globally and a few of them no longer intact, the arrival of this Koenigsegg CCX in Vietnam came as a big surprise. The car was discreetly brought into the country, even before the Koenigsegg Regera owned by the famous Hoang Kim Khanh was imported to Cambodia three years ago.

This stunning Koenigsegg CCX is owned by a businessman from Hai Phong. It is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 supercharged engine that produces a maximum of 800 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 402 km/h.

This million-dollar supercar was purchased from Al Ain Class Motors, the same dealership from which Minh “Nhá»±a” and Hoang Kim Khanh bought their Pagani Huayra and McLaren Senna, respectively. Mr. Khanh’s Porsche 918 Spyder also came from this dealership.

One interesting feature of Koenigsegg supercars is their scissor doors, which slide forward instead of opening vertically like those on the Lamborghini Murcielago or Aventador. Another surprising detail is that most Koenigsegg models, including the CCX, are part-coupe and part-convertible. The CCX’s roof can be removed and stored manually in the front luggage compartment, requiring a similar amount of effort as putting it on.

In addition to its striking red exterior, the Koenigsegg CCX owned by the Hai Phong businessman features carbon fiber accents, silver-painted wheels with carbon fiber inlays, and a yellow-tinted carbon fiber interior.
