Leaving behind the salty air of the Central Coast, we traversed the sunny wind farms, following the winding mountain passes with the free-spirited nature of wanderers, and our Lexus hybrids set off on a journey to awaken the senses.

At dawn, on Vietnam’s most beautiful coastal road from Cam Ranh to Vinh Hy Bay, the Lexus Hybrids officially embarked on the Sense Vietnam journey—awakening original, subtle, and creative values with every step. Passing through the green seaside silk, breathing in the fresh scent and salty sea breeze, Sense Vietnam by Lexus stopped in Phan Rang – Thap Cham, a place of thousand-year-old sediments. Here, we savored dishes crafted by chef Alain Nguyen, who took Vietnamese cuisine to the world and returned home with a mission to promote the specialties of Phan Rang.

Bidding farewell to the ocean, the Lexus Hybrids swiftly climbed the Ngoan Muc Pass with its hairpin bends towards Lac Duong, the rooftop of the Central Highlands at 1,700 meters above sea level. One of the fascinating pit stops on this journey was the K’Ho Coffee Farm on the Lang Biang Plateau. In the crisp air of Dalat, we savored the rich flavor of freshly brewed coffee, handmade through every process, immersing ourselves in the romantic love story between a K’ho girl and an American man. The locals’ skillful hands in coffee crafting resembled the dedication of Takumi masters, who spent over 60,000 hours honing their skills to create exceptional Lexus vehicles.

Meanwhile, in Dalat, chef Thao Na was preparing a feast for us with the theme, “From Garden to Gourmet.” Her menu artfully blended renowned French cooking techniques with a deep respect and celebration of local fresh ingredients. From humble dishes like grilled rice paper, amaranth greens, and artichokes to Dalat specialties like burnt rice flowers, wind-dried strawberries, and fresh caviar from a 25-year-old farm, Thao Na skillfully combined these elements into a subtle and creative culinary symphony.

Thus, the 4-day-3-night journey, Sense Vietnam by Lexus, awakened our imaginations, inspired our emotions, affirmed our unique values, and elevated our personal experiences through the interplay of natural landscapes, culinary delights, and the exceptional Lexus hybrids. Though unspoken, we all recognized the parallel between Lexus’ values and the essence of culinary arts—the liberation of the mind’s potential, constant evolution, and relentless creativity.

This trip deepened our understanding of Mr. Akio Toyoda’s message—the former brand president: “Lexus is not just about creating means of transportation. We awaken our customers’ senses throughout their brand experience.”
