The Universo Ferrari event this year was held for the first time in an ASEAN country, Thailand, with Bangkok chosen as the venue for the Italian brand to showcase its creativity to its customers. The event featured the debut of the blockbuster Ferrari F80 in Asia, along with several other special Ferrari models, including limited editions, racing cars, and new launches.

In addition to the Ferrari F80, priced at $3.9 million before taxes (approximately 92.7 billion VND), with only 799 units produced worldwide, there were many other cars that ignited my heart, and my wife and I will probably get one for ourselves,” said Hoang Kim Khanh, a prominent Vietnamese businessman, sharing his experience attending the unique Universo Ferrari event.

Although he did not disclose the model, it is likely to be the SUV Purosangue or another supercar from the 12Cilindri series, which is highly sought-after. Currently, in his car collection, there are the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider and the Ferrari SF90 Stradale.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a supercar that will replace the Ferrari 812 Superfast, two of which have already arrived in Vietnam. This prancing horse model is confirmed to have the first two slots for the country, with the interested parties being Cuong “Dollar” and Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu.

The design of the Ferrari 12Cilindri is a tribute to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, featuring a black stripe on the hood that cannot be removed or changed to another color, as per the designer’s intention. The interior is inspired by the Purosangue and Roma, and this series is the first to feature a fully digital dashboard without analog gauges.

The car combines active and passive aerodynamics to improve the drag coefficient compared to the 812 Superfast. At the rear, there is a wing that enhances downforce at high speeds. One side of the wing can tilt up to 10° at 60 km/h to act as an air brake and generate 50 kg of downforce at high speeds.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri features 21-inch wheels at the front and rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport S5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires. The braking system comprises 398 mm front and 360 mm rear brakes, operated by an electronic “brake-by-wire” system. The car also has four-wheel steering.

The excitement of this model lies under the hood, where the Ferrari 12Cilindri supercar features only a gasoline V12 engine, with a displacement of 6.5 liters and natural aspiration, delivering an impressive 819 horsepower. What’s more, the engine can rev up to a staggering 9,500 rpm.

According to Ferrari, the 12Cilindri coupe will be equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and attain a top speed of 340 km/h. The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider is slightly slower, taking 2.95 seconds to reach 100 km/h and 8.2 seconds to hit 200 km/h. The coupe version weighs 1,560 kg, while the Spider comes in at 1,620 kg.
