The recent news about Vietnam’s one-of-a-kind million-dollar hypercar, the Koenigsegg CCX, finally getting its license plate after four long years has sparked excitement among the online community. This rare beauty now bears the registration of Haiphong City.
Car enthusiasts have been buzzing about the latest sighting of the Koenigsegg CCX in Haiphong. After nearly two years of maintenance, registration, and inspection processes in Ho Chi Minh City, the hypercar has made its way back to the coastal city.
The Koenigsegg CCX, now with its new license plate, has officially been transported back to Haiphong
The Koenigsegg CCX has found its home in the garage of a low-key businessman in Haiphong, alongside an impressive collection of over ten supercars, sports cars, and luxury SUVs. Despite selling off some of his vehicles, the addition of this hypercar makes his collection one of the few in the country to feature a road-legal hypercar, complete with all the necessary taxes paid.
The Koenigsegg CCX is an exclusive model, with only 49 units produced between 2006 and 2010. Of these, 30 were standard editions (one was destroyed, leaving 29), nine were CCXR editions, six were CCX/CCXR Editions, two were CCXR Special Editions, and the final pair were the renowned CCXR Trevita editions.
One of the intriguing features of the Koenigsegg models is their scissor-style doors, which slide forward horizontally instead of the traditional vertical opening seen in cars like the Lamborghini Murcielago or Aventador. Another surprising detail is that most Koenigseggs, including the CCX, are part-coupe and part-convertible.
The CCX’s roof is completely removable and stowed manually in front of the luggage compartment. It’s a laborious process, much like the intricate dance of removing and installing the roof. The Haiphong businessman’s Koenigsegg CCX sports a vibrant red exterior, complemented by carbon fiber accents, silver-painted wheels, and a hint of yellow-gold carbon fiber within the rims.
Under the hood, this Koenigsegg CCX boasts a 4.7-liter supercharged V8 engine, delivering an impressive 800 horsepower. Coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, the hypercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and reaches a top speed of 402 km/h.

The Koenigsegg CCX is an exceptional car, and its owner wanted to enhance its already impressive features. The stock carbon fiber rims were replaced with a set of Forged Lightweight 9-spoke single-piece wheels, originally designed for the CCXR model. This modification adds a unique touch to the CCX, giving it a distinct look and feel.
