Early November saw KTM Vietnam offer massive discounts of up to 162 million VND for customers purchasing a range of their large-displacement motorcycles.

Specifically, the models on offer were the Duke 390, Adventure 790, Adventure 790 R, and Adventure 890 R. This promotion lasted from the beginning of the month until November 25th at a Hanoi dealership.

Currently, the above offer has ended, however, the KTM Duke 890 R is still being offered with a massive discount of up to 120 million VND. The price after the discount is only 399 million VND.

KTM is a European brand, and its bikes are typically quite expensive in Vietnam. However, this is an unprecedented price cut from KTM since the brand came under the distribution of AI Naboodah.

Some sales consultants revealed that this significant discount was actually a way to clear out stock of models produced in 2023, and had nothing to do with KTM’s crisis in Europe.

Internationally, KTM is facing potential bankruptcy due to its inability to resolve its debt situation.

KTM’s parent company, Pierer Mobility AG, stated that KTM requires substantial financial backing, which the parent company is unable to provide. As a result, KTM has filed for bankruptcy protection, allowing them time to negotiate with creditors.

Earlier in November, Pierer Mobility AG announced that KTM might halt production at its Mattighofen factory (Austria) for two months to reduce inventory levels.
