On December 2, 2024, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV), Toyota Financial Services Vietnam (TFSVN), and authorized dealers nationwide launched a promotion for customers purchasing Vios, Veloz Cross, Avanza Premio, Yaris Cross, and Corolla Cross this month.
Among these models, the Toyota Vios receives a 50% discount on registration fees from the manufacturer. The value of the Vios promotion will not exceed VND 23 million for the E MT version, VND 25 million for the E CVT version, and VND 27 million for the G CVT version. In addition, customers who buy this B-segment sedan also enjoy an interest rate of only 6.49% per year.
Thus, compared to the previous three months, the promotional value of this B-segment sedan, dubbed the “national car,” has been halved. This is because, from December 2024, the government’s program to support 50% of the registration fee for domestically produced and assembled cars has expired.
The promotion is applicable to all customers who purchase a vehicle, complete the payment procedure of 100%, and are invoiced by the dealer during the program period, from December 2, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
Of course, the Toyota Vios is not the only B-segment sedan that the manufacturer is supporting with registration fees this December. A similar program is also being implemented for its “homegrown” rival, the Honda City.
The Vietnamese automobile market is currently in a year-end sales race. Therefore, it is not surprising that Toyota is maintaining registration fee incentives for the Vios.
The Vios is currently Toyota’s best-selling model and the leader in the B-segment sedan market. In November 2024, Toyota sold 2,135 Vios units in Vietnam, a growth of 21.5%. This figure brings the cumulative sales for the first 11 months of the year to 12,704 units.
The Toyota Vios is currently available in three versions, with prices ranging from VND 458 million to VND 545 million. For this amount, customers will receive prominent features such as LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, new 15-inch alloy wheels, a steering wheel with paddle shifters, a larger 9-inch central touchscreen display, support for smartphone connectivity, a USB Type C port for rear passengers, seven airbags, a Pre-Collision System (PCS), and a Lane Departure Alert (LDA).
The “heart” of the Toyota Vios is a 1.5L inline-four gasoline engine that produces a maximum of 107 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque, as before. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
