Following the CR-V, Honda City lost its promotional program after receiving a price reduction and the government’s 50% registration fee incentive took effect from September 2024. In December 2024, when the registration fee support ended, this B-segment sedan returned to the list of vehicles with official promotions.
Accordingly, when purchasing the Honda City, customers will receive a 50% discount on the registration fee from the manufacturer. This model currently has three versions, with listed prices ranging from 499 to 569 million VND. The registration fee incentive for the Honda City will range from 25 to 28 million VND, depending on the version. As a result, customers can purchase this B-segment sedan for less than 500 million VND.
In addition to the City, two other Honda models, the HR-V and BR-V, are also eligible for a 50% discount on registration fees. However, this program is only applicable to the G version of the HR-V and the L version of the BR-V. Moreover, Honda is offering a one-year physical insurance package for these two completely imported models.
Currently, the Honda HR-V G has a listed price of 699 million VND. Therefore, the registration fee incentive for this B-segment SUV amounts to 35 million VND.
On the other hand, the Honda BR-V L is priced at 705 million VND. The registration fee incentive enables customers to save 35 million VND when purchasing this small MPV.
Honda Vietnam’s promotional program is valid for customers who sign a vehicle purchase contract and complete a 100% payment between December 6 and January 28, 2024. The registration fee incentive is applied at a rate of 10%.
Additionally, customers purchasing the Honda HR-V and BR-V will benefit from a fixed interest rate of 5.8% for the first 12 months when taking out a loan from VP Bank, provided they complete the vehicle purchase procedure between December 6 and December 31, 2024.

Official incentives offered by Honda for three models: City, HR-V, and BR-V.
With the above incentives, the three Honda models are expected to maintain their competitiveness. Among them, the Honda City has the highest sales volume.
In October 2024, 1,670 Honda City units were sold, a 5% increase, making it the second best-selling model in the B-segment sedan market, only behind the Toyota Vios. Cumulative sales for the first ten months of this year reached 7,741 units, trailing the Toyota Vios and Hyundai Accent.
During the same month, the Honda HR-V sold 664 units, a slight decrease of 4.4%. This brought the cumulative sales for the first ten months of 2024 to 4,688 units.
As for the Honda BR-V, 358 units were sold in October 2024, a decline of 3.76%. The cumulative sales for this small MPV from the beginning of the year to the present stand at 2,830 units.
Honda automobiles in Vietnam share the common trait of being priced higher compared to their competitors in the same segment. Nonetheless, these vehicles are favored by consumers due to their attractive designs, adequate convenience features, and enjoyable driving experience. Notably, Honda automobiles are equipped with the standard Honda Sensing active safety system, which is not universally offered by rivals. Consequently, despite their less-than-enticing prices, Honda vehicles have carved out a dedicated customer base and maintained relatively stable sales.
