The ultra-luxurious convertibles were once a symbol of opulence and class for car enthusiasts, but nowadays, most have been forgotten. The Bentley Azure is but a distant memory, while the Rolls-Royce Dawn and Phantom Drophead Coupe have also faded into obscurity.
However, Rolls-Royce has now introduced a new convertible that you can purchase at their galleries and private offices for a fraction of the price of the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII. It boasts all the wood and leather one would expect, but it’s just a tad smaller than their usual offerings.
The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail
Dubbed the Cameo, this model is advertised as a “miniature, finely crafted sculpture” paying homage to the company’s first convertibles. Nonetheless, this convertible boasts a thoroughly modern design and utilizes the same materials one would find in a road-going Rolls-Royce or, predominantly, the Boat Tail.
Designed for owner assembly, this high-end art and craft project features a solid oak body as well as polished aluminum. They are attached with magnets and connected by an aluminum frame and four wheels with self-balancing center caps.
While Rolls-Royce doesn’t mention the price, a dealer has listed the Cameo on their online store with an asking price of $5,500, roughly VND 130 million.
