A rare 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible is up for sale, and it’s turning heads all over the internet.
According to the seller, this convertible is priced at 2.25 billion VND.
There are only two Chevrolet Corvair Convertibles still on the road in Vietnam. The car for sale has a white exterior, while the other one is red.
First introduced in 1960, the Chevrolet Corvair was seen as a rival to the Volkswagen Beetle. During its almost ten-year lifespan, the car went through two generations and sold an impressive 1.8 million units.
For classic car enthusiasts, the Chevrolet Corvair is more than just a means of transportation; it’s an icon of automotive design and technological advancement. The car’s rear-engine and rear-wheel-drive layout marked a significant step forward in automotive engineering.
The interior of this Chevrolet Corvair is also a head-turner, with red leather seats matching the fabric roof, and a classic-style steering wheel and instrument cluster.
Powering the 1962 Corvair is a 2.3-liter inline-six gasoline engine, air-cooled, producing 80 horsepower. Later versions of the car came with upgraded 2.4 L and 2.7 L engines.
