Earlier this July, the Ferrari dealer in Vietnam officially introduced the Ferrari Roma Spider convertible supercar to domestic customers. Notably, this car was specially ordered from the manufacturer and imported for a specific client, rather than being temporarily imported for demonstration purposes.

The price of this Ferrari Roma Spider is 24 billion VND, including options but excluding registration fees. The car has now found its owner, a Hanoi-based entrepreneur. This Ferrari Roma Spider features a black exterior with red metallic accents and a striking red interior.

The Ferrari Roma Spider is more than just a convertible version of the Roma; it carries a lot of significance in line with the “La Nuova Dolce Vita” event. Firstly, after 54 years, Ferrari has reintroduced a front-engined convertible with a fabric roof. The Roma Spider is that representation, following the 365 GTS4 from 1969.

Secondly, the time it takes to open the Roma Spider’s convertible top is just 13.5 seconds, making it the fastest among Ferrari convertibles. This is a commendable achievement for the Italian marque, even though it is only marginally faster (by 0.5 to 2.5 seconds) compared to other Ferrari convertibles available in Vietnam, such as the 488, 458, 430, California, Portofino, 360, and F355.

Some car manufacturers advise against opening or closing the convertible top while the car is in motion above 50 km/h, as it may cause damage to the hardtop or fabric roof. However, Ferrari allows you to do this with the Roma Spider at speeds of up to 60 km/h, which is the most impressive figure among Ferrari convertibles.

The interior of the Ferrari Roma Spider, newly launched in Vietnam, features an 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for easier navigation.

If that screen isn’t enough, the convertible can be equipped with an optional 8.8-inch slim passenger screen that displays navigation, performance, and entertainment information, as well as climate control settings. Although the screens are basic, they allow the passenger to act as a “co-pilot,” rather than just sitting idly and browsing their phone.

The Ferrari Roma Spider is powered by a 3.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 620 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of over 320 km/h.
