The Ferrari 812 GTS, despite being launched quite a while ago and now discontinued, remains an iconic supercar for enthusiasts of the prancing horse. With its natural air-aspirated V12 engine, it is a monument among convertible supercars. Surprisingly, after the first unit was imported to Vietnam by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, it is estimated that two more of these beauties will be joining the country’s roads.
A car repair garage in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, which was responsible for importing the first 812 GTS for “Qua” Vu, has shared that they have brought the second unit into the country, and the third one is scheduled to arrive in 2025.
The Ferrari 812 GTS is a masterpiece of engineering and design. With a hardtop convertible roof that can be retracted or raised in just 14 seconds at the push of a button, it offers the best of both worlds—the thrill of open-top driving and the comfort of a closed cockpit when needed. The rear design has been tweaked to accommodate the roof when lowered, and a small adjustable glass panel has been added. The roof can be operated even while the car is in motion, as long as the speed is below 45 km/h.
The 812 GTS is the most powerful V12 convertible Ferrari has ever produced, and it’s currently the easiest to acquire. With a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, it produces a staggering 789 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h. These performance figures match those of the hard-top Ferrari 812 Superfast.
When it was first launched, the 812 GTS had a price tag of over $450,000. However, due to its limited production and increasing demand, the resale value of these cars has skyrocketed, with prices for pre-owned units ranging from $100,000 to $250,000 more than the original price, depending on their condition and options.
