Earlier this June, Bugatti unveiled the highly anticipated successor to the Veyron and Chiron: the all-new Chiron, the brand’s most powerful car yet. With a staggering 1,800 ps and a price tag of $4.2 million before taxes, the Chiron is a true masterpiece of automotive engineering.

Car enthusiasts in the ASEAN region recently had the opportunity to feast their eyes on the Chiron in person as it was showcased at the Bugatti Singapore dealership. Many young car enthusiasts from Vietnam even flew to Singapore to catch a glimpse of this megacar, which is limited to only 250 units worldwide, with nearly 10 of those destined for Asia.

Under the hood, the Chiron boasts a naturally aspirated, 8.3-liter V16 engine designed by Cosworth, capable of delivering 986 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. This is nearly identical to the output of the original Veyron’s W16 engine (987 hp) but achieved without the aid of four turbochargers. Instead, the Chiron benefits from three electric motors that boost the total output to an astonishing 1,769 hp.

According to Bugatti, the Chiron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds, outperforming the Chiron by 0.4 seconds. It reaches 300 km/h in under ten seconds, leaving its predecessor behind by a margin of 3-4 seconds. The Chiron hits 400 km/h in under 25 seconds, while the Chiron requires 32.6 seconds, and the record-breaking Rimac Nevera accomplishes this feat in 21.3 seconds. The Chiron has a default top speed of 380 km/h, similar to the Chiron. However, with the optional speed key, the Chiron can reach 420 km/h, while the Chiron is capable of an incredible 445 km/h. Additionally, the Chiron can travel up to 60 km solely on electric power.

There you have it! The Chiron is an engineering marvel that pushes the boundaries of automotive performance. With its incredible speed, power, and limited production run, it’s sure to be a sought-after addition to any car enthusiast’s collection.
