In October 2024, a businessman from Dong Thap province, residing and working in Ho Chi Minh City, acquired the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar, over a year after it was offered for VND 23 billion. Interestingly, after registering the car with the plate number 66A, just over a week later, the Ferrari 296 GTB was back in the showroom, awaiting a new owner.

And now, the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar has found its third owner, a couple working in the beauty industry. Thus, after being cleared by the Dong Thap businessman for less than a week, the Ferrari 296 GTB quickly found a new buyer at a price of VND 19.5 billion.

The first Ferrari 296 GTB to arrive in Vietnam, recently purchased by a couple who are beauty entrepreneurs, features a bold yellow exterior with many black and silver details, and is a standard version.

The Ferrari 296 GTB’s plug-in hybrid powertrain is what makes it interesting. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine, marking the return of the V6 engine after a 50-year hiatus. The internal combustion engine produces a maximum output of 654 horsepower, while the electric motor adds an extra 164 horsepower.

The maximum torque figures produced by the internal combustion engine and the electric motor are 425 Nm and 315 Nm, respectively. The plug-in hybrid system in the Ferrari 296 GTB delivers a combined output of 818 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque.

The Ferrari 296 GTB can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h. This plug-in hybrid car can travel a maximum distance of 25 km and reach a top speed of 135 km/h on electric power alone.

The Ferrari 296 GTB still features the eManettino function with driving modes: eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify, along with the familiar Manettino settings: standard, sport, race, CT off, and ESC off.
