“Audi Charging Lounge Presents ‘Biophilia and Naturalis’: A Twin Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City”

Experience the Art of Progress at Audi Charging Lounge

For the past 15 years, Audi Vietnam has been an active patron of the arts. For instance, in 2023, the Audi Charging Lounge became a special art venue to introduce Noirfoto’s first handmade black-and-white photography series, “Silver,” followed by “The Grapevine Selection 2023″ exhibition showcasing notable works from 15 artists with distinctive artistic signatures,” said Ferry Enders, Managing Director of Audi Vietnam. With this vision, Audi Vietnam decided to partner with the art project, “Biophilia and Naturalis,” featuring works that emphasize the connection between nature and humanity.

In the vast ecosystem of life, nature and humanity exist in an inseparable interconnectedness. The works presented in this exhibition, by artists Devon Nguyen and Patricia vd Mooren, highlight this very connection.

Devon pursues the concept of Biophilia, focusing on the intrinsic connection between humans and nature. To maintain this connection, nature demands a sense of calm and reverence in the way we interact with it. In her paintings, Devon deliberately captures the vibrant beauty of creation. Accompanying these are sculptures made from ceramic, a material as fragile as nature itself.

Meanwhile, Patricia embraces Naturalis, celebrating the raw beauty of the natural world. She captures the subtlest emotions evoked by this wonder through measured stylization, using gold leaf blended with acrylic paint to create an interplay of light and shadow in a multidimensional space.

Though Biophilia and Naturalis originate from different perspectives, they share a common destination: guiding humanity back to nature, as the need for connection with the natural world is undeniable.

The Biophilia and Naturalis exhibition is co-organized by Audi Vietnam and Lotus Gallery, opening at 6:00 PM on December 7, 2024, at Audi Charging Lounge – 6B Ton Duc Thang, Ben Nghe, District 1. The exhibition will be open to the public from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, from December 8 to December 15, 2024.
