In an effort to boost year-end shopping, the group of C-segment SUV/CUVs in Vietnam has recently received a wave of price reductions.
Specifically, starting this December, the Mazda CX-5‘s entry price has been lowered to 729 million VND, a 20 million VND decrease from its launch price (749 million VND).
The Mazda CX-5 is currently one of the best-selling SUV/CUVs in Vietnam. In November 2024, Mazda delivered 2,408 CX-5s to consumers, a nearly 20% increase from October. With its new attractive price point, the CX-5 is expected to see a sales explosion in 2024.
The Mazda CX-5 is powered by a SkyActiv-G 2.0L engine that produces 154 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive across all variants.
Alongside the Mazda CX-5, its “rival” the Ford Territory has also seen a price adjustment since the beginning of December. All versions of the vehicle have been discounted by 40 million VND. The new price range for this C-segment CUV is from 759 to 889 million VND.
From the beginning of the year until the end of November 2024, the Mazda CX-5 maintained its lead in the C-segment SUV market share, with a total of 13,656 units sold. The Ford Territory followed in second place, with 7,513 units sold, nearly half that of the CX-5.
