The Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 3 is an upcoming electric SUV from BYD, expected to launch in early 2025 with an estimated price of 700,000,000 VND.
Following the release of the Leopard 8, the Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand of BYD is set to introduce another all-electric SUV to its lineup, named the Titanium 3.
This upcoming model first made an appearance back in April at a BYD event, capturing the attention of the Chinese media with its striking exterior design.
Recently, more detailed information about the Titanium 3 has been revealed through documents published by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). According to these documents, the SUV measures 4,605 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. The version with a drone cabin on the roof is 210 mm taller, measuring 1,930 mm, while the other specifications remain unchanged.
The curb weight of the two versions is 2,170 kg and 2,265 kg, respectively. The approach angle is 25 degrees, and the departure angle is 28 degrees.
In terms of performance, the Titanium 3 features two electric motors, one on each axle, producing 148 hp and 268 hp, respectively, along with an AWD system. It has a top speed of 201 km/h and is equipped with BYD’s own Blade batteries.
The design of the Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 3 is bold and boxy, with a distinctive SUV aesthetic. The front of the vehicle features a unique set of C-shaped headlights, reminiscent of the Honda Ridgeline, which are connected to a closed-off grille. Below this sits a complex front bumper, incorporating small fog lights and a sporty silver skid plate.
From the side, the Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 3 continues its off-road-inspired design with extended wheel arches. The vehicle rides on 18 or 19-inch wheels, wrapped in 235/60R18 or 245/50R19 tires, respectively.
At the rear, the SUV makes a statement with its horizontal taillights. The rear bumper echoes the design of the front, featuring additional brake lights on either side. Instead of a spare wheel, the rear door houses a large storage box, intended for charging cables and other accessories.
While the MIIT documents do not disclose information about the interior, BYD has indicated that the Titanium 3 is designed with family use in mind. This suggests that we can expect a host of modern features and advanced ADAS technologies.
The Titanium 3 is scheduled for launch in the first half of 2025, with an expected price tag of around 200,000 RMB (approximately 700,000,000 VND).
