The redesigned new-generation Lexus GX has made an impression on consumers, with a 16.5% surge in Q3 sales compared to last year. The company is aiming to build on this momentum with the 2025 model, which features some relatively minor updates.

Scheduled to arrive at US dealerships early next year, the GX 2025 starts at $65,285, including a $1,350 delivery fee. This is a slight increase from the 2024 model’s starting price of $64,250.

So, what do buyers get for the extra $1,035? Not a lot, but power-tilt steering column and power-telescoping now come as standard, along with the Lexus Memory System. This is a relatively minor change, as these features were previously standard on all trims except Premium and Overtrail.

While not exactly thrilling, the 2025 Lexus GX Overtrail and Overtrail+ trims now come with a 1-inch (25 mm) suspension lift. This gives these trims a ground clearance of 9.8 inches (249 mm), as well as approach, departure, and breakover angles of 26°, 22°, and 24°, respectively.

The off-road-focused trims also gain an on-board air compressor, as well as pre-wired auxiliary switches. These are welcome additions but bump the price up from $69,250 to $72,930 for the Overtrail. Similarly, the Overtrail+ goes from $77,250 to $80,395.

That’s about the extent of the changes, as all 2025 Lexus GX models will still be powered by the 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque.

It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system with a limited-slip center differential. This setup enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h).

Beyond the potent powertrain, the GX 2025 boasts heated and ventilated front seats upholstered in NuLuxe fabric. These are complemented by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment system, and a 10-speaker audio system. Other highlights include a sunroof and 20-inch wheels.

The higher-end variants take luxury even further, adding semi-aniline leather seats with massage functions. The GX can also be equipped with power-folding third-row seats, a heated steering wheel wrapped in leather, and a premium Mark Levinson audio system with 21 speakers.
