The Ferrari Purosangue is a $500,000 SUV designed to blend Ferrari’s racing heritage with the everyday convenience of ferrying your kids to school. You would think that such a hefty price tag would come with a sense of aesthetic perfection, but that is not always the case.
Yes, we all know that is not true, and this Ferrari Purosangue is proof, with its chrome-clad wheels more suited to a Cadillac Escalade or an older Hummer H2 than a luxurious Italian super SUV. But that is the thought of those without a car, and the owner is satisfied, thinking that it adds power to the car.
This Purosangue is painted in a dark chestnut color, which, from some angles, looks black but has a deep red/purple hue under direct light. Then, a set of 24-inch Forgiato wheels were installed. These tight-spoked rims are chrome-plated and sit atop yellow brake calipers.
The modification shop made some other changes, too: the headlights and taillights were tinted, the suspension was lowered by 10 mm, and the body now has a ceramic coating to ensure it looks pristine for years to come.
In this modification, we feel the car is more suitable for the garage of rappers than for those who are passionate about the Ferrari line, where the pinnacle of modification is about keeping the car “original.”
The Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces up to 715 horsepower and 715 Nm of torque. This power is combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, allowing the Ferrari Purosangue to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of over 310 km/h.
