The Toyota Urban Cruiser is an all-electric compact CUV, positioned between the Yaris Cross and the C-HR in the Japanese automaker’s lineup.

Toyota will be unveiling their new all-electric CUV, the Urban Cruiser, at the 2025 Brussels Auto Show. The Urban Cruiser is based on the Suzuki e Vitara and has an overall length of 4,285 mm, slotting it between the Yaris Cross and the C-HR in Toyota’s European lineup of tall-riding vehicles.

The exterior design of the Urban Cruiser is similar to the Urban SUV Concept introduced in 2023, with some minor adjustments for production. The front end sports a youthful look with distinctive hammer-shaped headlights similar to the new Camry. The taillights are uniquely designed, while other areas closely resemble the e Vitara. The Urban Cruiser also offers 18 and 19-inch wheel options, just like its Suzuki counterpart.

The interior of the Toyota Urban Cruiser is almost identical to the Suzuki prototype. It features a modern cabin with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central infotainment screen, a premium JBL sound system, and a sunroof.

According to Toyota, the Urban Cruiser boasts a spacious interior thanks to its long wheelbase of 2,700 mm. This allows the second-row seats to recline and slide forward/backward, enhancing passenger comfort.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser’s powertrain options mirror those of the Suzuki e Vitara, with three motor configurations. The first two versions feature a single motor with outputs of 142 and 172 horsepower, respectively, driving the front wheels. The third variant employs a dual-motor setup, producing a combined 182 horsepower and powering all four wheels. Battery options include a 49 kWh pack (front-wheel-drive only) and a 61 kWh pack. The maximum driving range of this CUV has not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
