Zeekr 009 MPV Sells 4,201 Units in November

The Zeekr 009 achieved a record-breaking sales performance, with 4,201 units delivered to customers in November. It currently holds the title of the best-selling all-electric vehicle in the segment above 400,000 CNY (approximately 1.39 billion VND).

The Zeekr 009 was introduced to the Chinese market in 2022 and received a mid-life upgrade during the summer of this year.

According to the manufacturer, the Zeekr 009 2024 features an impressive 1,366 new components. Despite this, the exterior design remains largely unchanged from its predecessor.

The front of the vehicle stands out with its closed-grille waterfall-style radiator grille, now accented with chrome trim. The headlights retain their distinctive U-shaped design. The Zeekr 009 is the world’s first MPV equipped with a smart grille that can alter its design based on different scenarios.

This MPV also features a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof, similar to the ultra-luxurious Grand 4-seater version launched in April.

Moving to the rear, the Zeekr 009 2024 boasts a sleek through-type taillight with 402 LEDs and the ZEEKR logo in the center. The high-mounted brake light and roof spoiler add a sporty touch.

Inside the cabin, the Zeekr 009 2024 offers not only the standard 2+2+2 seating configuration but also introduces an all-new 7-seater version, in addition to the 4-seater Grand ultra-luxurious option.

The vehicle’s cockpit maintains the traditional T-shaped layout, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front infotainment screen has been upgraded to a 15.05-inch OLED display with 2.5K resolution. The roof-mounted screen for rear passengers has also been enhanced to a 17-inch OLED panel with 3K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both screens are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, enabling advanced AI features that can predict user needs based on their habits.

The passenger seats offer 12-way electric adjustment and massage functionality. Each seat is equipped with Yamaha headrest speakers. Additionally, the Zeekr 009 2024 boasts a range of convenient features, including mobile app control, OTA updates, facial recognition, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a control panel for the second-row seats integrated into the electric sliding door.

The Zeekr 009 2024 is offered with two powertrain options. The first is a single electric motor that delivers 416 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. This setup, combined with front-wheel drive, enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

The second option is a dual-motor configuration producing 778 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque. With all-wheel drive, this setup propels the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, while the top speed remains at 230 km/h.

Both powertrain options are equipped with nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) 108 kWh batteries that support fast charging. Charging the batteries from 10% to 80% takes only 11.5 minutes, thanks to the 800V architecture, known as 5C charging, where “C” indicates the number of times the battery can be charged in an hour.

When fully charged, the single-motor version offers a range of up to 740 km according to the CLTC standard, while the dual-motor version provides a range of 702 km.

An optional 140 kWh battery is available, increasing the range to 900 km. However, this option switches to a 400V high-voltage system instead of the standard 800V.

The Zeekr 009 2024 is not only popular in the Chinese domestic market but has also made its way to Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. There are speculations that this impressive MPV may arrive in Vietnam as early as next year.
