The Toyota Hilux Champ is the commercial pickup truck model that was first introduced in the Thai market in 2023. Derived from the familiar Toyota Hilux, this vehicle is positioned lower as a more affordable and simpler option.

In the Indonesian market, the Toyota Hilux Champ is known by the unique name of Hilux Rangga. Recently, Toyota surprised everyone by unveiling a new 7-seater SUV based on the Hilux Rangga. According to Anton Jimmi Suwandy, marketing director of Toyota Indonesia, this SUV was created to meet the needs of individual customers.

The company responsible for transforming the Toyota Hilux Rangga into a 7-seater SUV is New Armada, based in Indonesia. This company also specializes in manufacturing body shells for buses.

On the outside, the vehicle sports a boxy and angular design with prominent embossed details. The new SUV retains some design elements from the Toyota Hilux Rangga. Specifically, the entire front end is carried over from the Hilux Rangga. Meanwhile, the areas from pillar B backwards have been completely revamped.
