As the year comes to a close, car manufacturers are stepping up their game with enticing promotions and discounts to boost year-end sales. While the focus is often on SUVs and their attractive deals, a few sedan models are also joining the party with significant incentives, including registration fee waivers and cash discounts of up to tens of millions of VND.
Honda Accord
Leading the pack in terms of discounts for the month of November is the Honda Accord, a D-segment sedan that continues to offer substantial savings. Customers who purchase the Accord this month will benefit from a cash discount of 220 million VND, bringing the price down to 1.019 billion VND. Additionally, buyers will receive complimentary accessories, including floor mats, window tinting, and a dash cam.

The Honda Accord, imported from Thailand, is currently offered in Vietnam with a sole 1.5 Turbo variant, carrying a listed price of 1.319 billion VND. However, sales figures for the Accord have been lackluster, with only 65 units sold in the first nine months of the year, consistently ranking among the slowest-selling models in the market.
The Accord’s sluggish performance can be attributed to its high price tag, as well as its dated design and engine, which have remained largely unchanged since its introduction in Vietnam seven years ago.
Toyota Vios
The ever-popular Toyota Vios, a B-segment sedan, has been a consistent fixture on the monthly promotions list since the middle of the year. For November, the Vios boasts two attractive incentives: a registration fee waiver and a low-interest financing offer.
The registration fee waiver translates to a cash value of approximately 23 to 27 million VND, depending on the trim level chosen—the E-MT, E-CVT, or G-CVT. After applying the discount, the price of this popular sedan ranges from 435 to 518 million VND.

Additionally, customers opting for a financing plan can take advantage of a promotional interest rate of just 5.99% for the first 12 months. With its competitive pricing, modern design, and continuous promotions, it’s no wonder the Vios consistently ranks among the best-selling models in Vietnam. As of September, Toyota Vietnam has sold an impressive 8,812 units of the Vios, outpacing its rival, the Hyundai Accent, in the B-segment sedan category.
Kia K3 and K5
Kia is also joining the year-end promotions game with attractive offers on their K3 and K5 sedan models. Customers who purchase the K5 in either the Premium or Luxury trim will receive a complimentary one-year physical damage insurance policy. The current prices for these two variants are 940 million and 859 million VND, respectively. Additionally, the GT-Line trim is offered with a 20 million VND discount, bringing its price down to 979 million VND.

The Kia K3, a C-segment sedan, also benefits from generous discounts this month. The 1.6 Turbo version is offered with a 25 million VND discount, while the 2.0 Premium trim receives a 10 million VND price cut. After the discounts, the K3’s price ranges from 609 to 689 million VND.
While the Kia K3 and K5 may not be topping the sales charts in their respective segments, they still offer a compelling package. As of September, the K3 has sold 2,592 units, while the K5, facing tougher competition in the D-segment, has managed 207 sales, consistently ranking among the slower-selling models in the past two quarters.
Mercedes-Benz C 200 Avantgarde Plus
Mercedes-Benz Vietnam is also sweetening the deal for buyers of the C 200 Avantgarde Plus sedan this month. In addition to the 50% registration fee waiver offered by the government, Mercedes-Benz is providing an additional 50% discount on the registration fee, amounting to a savings of between 79.95 and 95.94 million VND, depending on the registration location.
This is the one and only time the Toyota Camry has lagged behind its rivals, the Mazda6 and Kia K5, in sales over the past few years. |
