A video of a driver cruising in his Porsche convertible at -20°C in Xinjiang has recently gone viral on social media. The driver ended up in the hospital due to severe cold exposure.
However, this wasn’t a case of the driver showing off. The convertible’s roof was frozen shut due to the frigid weather in Urumqi, Xinjiang.
To shield himself from the wind and snow, the driver used a tarp as a temporary roof. But it only covered a small portion, leaving him exposed to the elements. As a result, he suffered from severe cold after driving and had to be hospitalized.
Netizens reacted to the viral video with comments like “That’s a rich person’s problem,” “So even the rich can be naive at times,” and “Brave soul for driving with the top down in such weather.”
