Nio recently announced that all 999 units of the ET9 First Edition were sold out just hours after its launch.
This limited-edition model of the Nio ET9 features exclusive badges and a more premium interior than the standard version. In China, the vehicle is priced at 818,000 RMB (approximately 2.85 billion VND).
The ET9 was unveiled on December 21 during Nio Day 2024 in Guangzhou. The standard version starts at 788,000 RMB (2.74 billion VND), slightly lower than the early sales price of 800,000 RMB (2.78 billion VND) announced last year.
Nio ET9 boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 5,325 mm, a width of 2,017 mm, a height of 1,621 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. Its kerb weight is 2,700 kg, and it has a turning radius of just 10.9 meters.
It is the first Nio model to feature a front trunk with a capacity of 105 liters, in addition to the rear cargo area of 544 liters.
Built on the new NT 3.0 platform with a 900V architecture, the ET9 is equipped with a standard 100 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 650 km based on the CLTC standard. Nio also plans to launch a long-range version with a 120 kWh battery option in the future, although the timeline is yet to be announced.
The electric powertrain consists of two motors, delivering a combined output of 697 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This enables the ET9 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
One of the standout features of the ET9 is its Skyride active suspension system. According to Nio, each shock absorber on the ET9 is independently controlled by a separate hydraulic pump. This system not only improves ride comfort but also ensures stable handling even at high speeds when a tire is punctured.
The interior of the Nio ET9 exudes luxury, with Nappa leather upholstery. The rectangular two-spoke steering wheel integrates function keys, and to its right is the drive mode selector.
Two large LCD screens dominate the cabin. One spans the width of the dashboard, while the other serves as a traditional infotainment display. The ET9 also boasts a 2800 W, 35-speaker audio system, including headrest speakers.
Nio is a pioneer in implementing convenient battery swap stations. Customers can purchase the ET9 without a battery and subscribe to the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) option for 1,128 RMB, allowing them to swap batteries at any of the 2,850 stations operated by Nio in China and 50 stations in Europe.

What Car Does the New Manchester United Manager Drive?
The new Manchester United manager is a man of humility, and this is reflected not only in his management style but also in his choice of car. Unlike many Premier League managers who drive flashy, high-end cars, he prefers to keep it modest and is often seen driving a modest vehicle. This choice of car is a reflection of his down-to-earth personality and his focus on substance over style. It is a refreshing change and a reminder that success in football is not always defined by extravagance.
