The all-new Suzuki Dzire has been unveiled in India, boasting a completely revamped exterior design. Unlike its predecessor, the new Dzire is not based on the Swift hatchback and features a unique style.

With a wheelbase of 2,450 mm, the Dzire stands out with its bold LED headlights connected by a chrome strip and a large grille at the front. The fourth-generation model sports a more aggressive and muscular look compared to the Swift, thanks to its sharply-designed front bumper.

The overall design of the Dzire still retains a quirky charm, as the tough-looking front end contrasts with the cute and petite proportions of the body and the small 15-inch wheels. The rear end features a subtle lip spoiler, adding a hint of sportiness to the sedan.

The interior of the Dzire shares similarities with the Swift, although with some design tweaks. Instead of leather, the dashboard features faux wood accents. The car is equipped with analog gauges and a 9-inch infotainment system, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the Dzire offers a 360-degree camera and a power-operated panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood, the Dzire is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine, producing 80 horsepower. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or an automatic transmission, depending on the trim level.

In terms of safety, the Dzire is the first Maruti Suzuki model to achieve a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. It comes standard with six airbags, electronic stability control, and pedestrian protection warning across all variants.

Priced between 8,000 and 12,000 USD, the Suzuki Dzire competes against rivals such as the Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura in the Indian market.

In Vietnam, the hatchback version of the Dzire, known as the Suzuki Swift, was recently discontinued in September. This decision was made as part of Suzuki’s production plan adjustments in Thailand.

Previously, the brand had mentioned the possibility of maintaining sales through imports from other Southeast Asian countries, as well as Japan and India. This opens up the potential for the Dzire to be introduced in Vietnam in the future, competing in the B-segment sedan category against the likes of the Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, and Honda City.
