A video of a high-speed train traveling from Tianjin to Beijing has recently surfaced on Chinese social media, capturing the attention of many.
This is the second time this train has been spotted by the public, and its impressive speed is the main attraction.
The train, coded CR450AF-0001, is designed to reach a staggering 450 km/h in testing and will operate commercially at 400 km/h. With such speed, the CR450 could reduce the journey from Beijing to Shanghai (1,318 km) to just 2.5 hours, as opposed to the current 4 hours taken by existing high-speed trains.
According to plans, this train will be officially operational by next year and will be the fastest commercial high-speed train in the world.
The CR450AF-0001 train boasts an aerodynamic design, resembling an arrow with its bullet-shaped head, trapezoidal windows in the cockpit, and distinctive lighting. It consists of 8 carriages, and the current series number is still covered with white tape.
Although it’s not fully completed and the body paint is not finished, keen eyes have spotted the Fuxing brand name. This indicates that the train is based on the CR400 model, which was first introduced in 2017.
