On December 20, 2024, Hyundai officially unveiled the new generation of its Palisade SUV in its home market of South Korea. On the same day, Korean customers could start booking the 2025 Hyundai Palisade.

By December 25, 2024, Korean sources revealed that a total of 33,567 people had placed orders for the new Palisade on the first day of sales. This makes it the third-highest number of orders for a Hyundai Group vehicle, following the Ioniq 6 (37,446 units in 2022) and the new Kia Carnival (36,455 units in 2023). Remarkably, the order volume for the 2025 Palisade is 1.5 times higher than when the previous generation of this large SUV was launched in 2018.

Over 33,000 units of the large SUV Hyundai Palisade 2025 were sold in just one day.

The second generation Palisade, launched six years after its market debut, introduces a 9-seat and hybrid version for the first time. This is also one of the reasons why this large SUV is in high demand immediately after its launch.

It is worth noting that 70% of those who booked the new Palisade opted for the hybrid version. Meanwhile, the 9-seat option accounted for 40% of the orders for the 2025 Palisade. The top-of-the-line Calligraphy trim was the choice of 60% of customers.

“Customers are extremely interested in the newly added versions,” said a Hyundai representative. Despite being priced 6 million Won (approximately 116 million VND) higher, the 2025 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid remains popular due to its lower maintenance and fuel costs compared to the conventional gasoline version.

Hyundai emphasizes that the new Palisade is the first model in its lineup to be equipped with the next-generation hybrid powertrain. This system combines a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, generating a total output of 334 horsepower. After a full charge and a full tank of gas, the vehicle can travel over 1,000 km.

The hybrid version of the Hyundai Palisade 2025 is very popular in the Korean market.

The remaining versions of the SUV are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 218 horsepower and a peak torque of 422 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering an average fuel consumption of 9.7 km/l (approximately 10.3 liters/100 km).

Furthermore, the large SUV is also equipped with the new Stay Mode, which optimizes the battery charge level to maximize electric power usage when the vehicle reaches its destination. This is the first hybrid model to feature this technology, allowing users to utilize the air conditioning, infotainment system, and other features when the car is turned off and stationary, similar to an electric vehicle.

In addition to the new engine and features, the 2025 Hyundai Palisade has undergone a design transformation. It now sports a new grille, front and rear lights, bumpers, and alloy wheels.
