A popular TikToker has recently sparked interest from car enthusiasts and netizens alike by purchasing the first McLaren 750S Spider convertible supercar in Vietnam, priced at a staggering 25 billion VND, excluding options.
The McLaren 750S series is still relatively rare in the country, with only one coupe model sold previously. This new acquisition is the second 750S, but the first of its kind with a convertible roof. Interestingly, the owner is not well-known in the supercar community, but they boast an impressive following on TikTok.
The newly acquired McLaren 750S Spider is a successful evolution of the 720S Spider, featuring subtle exterior upgrades such as exhaust pipes, a front bumper, and headlights reminiscent of the older model. It also sports a rear wing similar to the McLaren 765LT Spider and distinctive square-shaped exhaust pipes.
As a convertible, one of the key advantages of this McLaren 750S Spider is the ability to open or close the roof in just 11 seconds, even while the car is in motion, as long as the speed stays below 50 km/h.
Under the hood, the McLaren 750S Spider is powered by a 4.0-liter M840T V8 engine with twin-turbocharging, shared with the 765LT Spider but with slight adjustments. It produces 750 PS of power, 15 PS less than the 765LT Spider but 30 PS more than the 720S Spider. The engine generates a mighty 590 Nm of torque.
This rear-wheel-drive supercar is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, matching the acceleration of the 720S Spider. It can reach 200 km/h in 7.3 seconds and 300 km/h in 20.4 seconds, with a top speed of 332 km/h.
