Recently, entrepreneur Hoang Kim Khanh was spotted cruising through Saigon in a very special sports car, rarely seen driven by him on the streets. Accompanying the owner of the Koenigsegg Regera and McLaren Senna, the only ones in Vietnam, was his beloved daughter.
It wasn’t hard to guess that this car was the high-performance Porsche 911 Turbo S from the 992 generation, even though the headrest of the seats didn’t bear the Porsche horse logo or the brand name. In his garage, the only two-door, four-seater car is the Porsche 911, although the back seat is only suitable for children.
Many were surprised to learn that Hoang Kim Khanh owns a high-performance Porsche 911 Turbo S from the 992 generation. The reason it was overshadowed is the presence of an extreme supercar lineup, including the Koenigsegg Regera, McLaren Senna, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, and Lamborghini Aventador S.
Currently, there are only a handful of high-performance Porsche 911 Turbo S from the 992 generation in Vietnam. Khanh’s car, valued at nearly VND 20 billion, features a unique and eye-catching paint job. After purchasing it a year ago, the only change to the “aesthetic” Porsche 911 Turbo S has been its license plate.
Initially, Hoang Kim Khanh’s Porsche 911 Turbo S from the 992 generation bore the license plate 51K-698.12. However, he later registered the auction-won plate 51K-858.99. The car features an upgraded design compared to its predecessor.
The high-performance variant of the Porsche 911 boasts improved front bumpers with new LED turn signals. At the rear, you’ll find a dynamic airfoil and sporty two-tone five-spoke alloy wheels. Additionally, it sports black vents in front of the rear fenders, a contrasting roof, and the words “911 Turbo S” on the doors for identification.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S from the 992 generation is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that produces 640 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. Combined with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds with the SportChrono package. The top speed is an impressive 330 km/h.
