The Malaguti Spectre GP125 is a unique offering in the European market, a region not typically associated with underbone motorcycles. This type of motorcycle has been popular in Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, but Malaguti is now bringing this style to a new audience.
Malaguti is a well-known brand in Europe, known for their scooters, supermotos, enduros, and adventure bikes. The Spectre GP125 is their first foray into the underbone category. The design of the Spectre GP125 draws comparisons to the first-generation Honda Winner, featuring a prominent 320 mm front disc brake with ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, with tire sizes of 90/80 at the front and 120/70 at the rear.
Powering the Malaguti Spectre GP125 is a 125 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 10 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 9.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox with a clutch delivers power to the rear wheel. The bike is priced at 2,499 euros (approximately 2,705 USD) in Europe. In Vietnam, the underbone market for manual transmission motorcycles primarily consists of the SYM Star SR 125 cc, with other options featuring engines of 150 cc and above.
